We analyze the failing cases of the existing Next Event Estimation (NEE) method for Gaussian Process Implicit Surfaces (GPIS) and propose a novel Conditional Product Next Event Estimation (CPNEE) method. Our work enables NEE for heightfield-like GPIS for the first time. Our method can be easily extended to general GPIS and MIS with existing sampling methods.
